At Country Grounds Coffeehouse there is a distinct "bias for the best" which you will find in every one of our coffees. In each roast, the beans are hand selected and hand tended, and in our blends we use five of the best eight coffees in the world.
We produce roasted coffees of delicate flavors and fragrances. Even our boldest coffees are civilized and are presented to you tamed for the palate. Some of our selection is correctly 'rare' even 'exotic', but they are never 'wild'.
Country Grounds Supreme Blends
House Blend - Our house blend is a gossamer web of delicate flavors, woven from the best coffees of Central and South America, East Africa and Indonesia. It starts with a rich aroma, good acidity, medium body and finishes with a smooth, mellow spiciness. Our House Blend is a cup of coffee you're sure to remember. It is a City Roast.
Stormy Monday - A dark roast that doesn't bite back. A dark roast of a South American coffee blended with a medium roasted Central American coffee. A fortifying eye opener on a cold, rainy day. This dark and mellow blend is easy to drink and hard to forget.
Bunk House - The deep, complex flavors and Sumatra's best, Guatemala Antigua, known the world over as something special and Mexico Alturan blended together for medium acidity, rich taste and a delicate finish. Bunk House is sure to satisfy even the most discerning coffee enthusiast. We roast it as a Light Full City Roast.
Espresso - There is a certain mystery that surrounds espresso. The type of bean, degree of roast, a blend of coffees formulated to truly shine when extracted using the espresso method. With coffees from Central America and Indonesia, our espresso has a full body, richness, flavor, and gives a crema to die for. Designed as a platform for steamed milk espresso beverages and works well a straight espresso.
Country Lane - Deep, complex flavors of Sumatra, GR #1 Lintong and the soft, lingering oaken walnut blush of Brazil Cerrado roasted together. Dried berries, star anise and persimmon dance in the burnished brown sugar finish that can linger until next Tuesday. Light full city roast.
Breakfast Blend - This is a light, smooth, snappy medium-roasted blend of Colombian's best with the sweet, mellow walnut dryness and heavy aromatics of Brazil Cerrado. Always great in the morning.
Country Grounds Specific Origins
Brazil Cerrado 17/18 - The Cerrado produces sweet, mellow coffees that are anything but prosaic, bland and indifferent. Dry aromatics, medium bodies and the soft tast of dry walnut. It has fine quality and is a satisfying coffee.
Colombia Supremo #18 - The Colombian is sunny, bright, and full-bodied with the cocoa finish for which Colombians are famous. We have it on good authority this is 'Juan Valdez' favorite morning Quaff.
Costa Rica SHB EP Estate Tarrazu - The "Gran Cru" Coffee of Costa Rica. Clean fresh flavor and edgy acidity, medium body mark the superior high grown coffees of Costa Rica's Tarrazu appellation. It closes with a sweet and tantalizing smooth finish. These beans leave them breathless and begging for more. We have his Costa Rican as a City Roast coffee called Windmill.
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe - The 'Gran Cru' coffee of Ethiopia. Though Ethiopia is known for its wild and crazy 'natural' process coffees, we favor the Sidamo district's 'washed' Yirgacheffe coffee. The results of high altitude, climatic conditions, 'wet processing' and soil conditions it is a most elegant cup. Delicately flavored Yirgacheffe has a heady and surprisingly sweet perfume off the grounds and a very delicate lime in the cup. The medium body and delicate acidity is brought together with a creamy, buttery flavor profile with hints of citrus. We prefer this coffee as a Dark Full City Roast.
Guatemala Estate Antiqua - The 'Gran Cru' coffee of Guatemala. This Guatemalan is one of the very best coffees, and one of my personal favorites. This coffee is acidic, aromatic, flavorful, complex, well balanced and delicious. Antigua are recognized the world over as something special. We like this one as a Light Full City Roast.
Indonesia - Sumatra, GR #1 Lingong TP - The 'Gran Cru' coffee of Indonesia. This coffee is a heavyweight beauty and is for those who want a hearty taste with deep overtones. The body of this beauty's flavors says it all to the lovers of coffee who laugh at the word "bright". This is something very special indeed.
Kenya AA Fancy Mark - The 'Gran Cru' Coffee of Kenya. Acidity is the keynote of East Africa's most highly regarded coffee. Kenya AA is definitely an acquired taste but its dry winery flavor has a sweet overtone finish. Brew a pair of mugs full and enjoy with someone special.
Mexico Altura EP #2/3 - Is homage to proportions and balance. With a faintly floral aroma it has a medium-light body and pleasant delicate acidity with a mellow start and clear finish. This is a winning cup.
Country Grounds Decafs
Arresting aromas with relaxing effects! Our decafs are a healthy selection of decaffeinated origins and blends chosen for their cup character, type and origin diversity. All our decafs are Swiss Water Decaffeinated, which means no chemicals such as Methylene Chloride or Formaldehyde were used and soaked-up by the coffee beans. We offer Swiss Water Decaffeinated Brazil Cerrado, Colombia Supremo and Indonesia-Sumatra.
Blends made from these are: Espresso, House Blend and Stormy Monday.
